Introducing

Mercury

We believe warehousing can be simpler, faster, and more efficient.

Introducing Mercury, a cubic-AS/RS solution by Yume. Mercury is designed to fundamentally reshape the way warehouses operate, from receiving products to dispatching orders.

Central to the Mercury ecosystem are four key elements: Grid, Robots, Drop-Stations, Software.

  • Built from lightweight yet highly durable aluminum sections, that fit together to create a robust structure that encloses stacked inventory bins.

Designed with modularity in mind, it effortlessly adapts to warehouses of any size and shape, providing the scalability needed to support business growth. This modular approach enables rapid deployment—measured in days, not weeks—allowing operations to go live quickly with minimal disruption. By eliminating traditional aisle space, our grid maximizes storage density, ensuring every square foot is utilized efficiently.

The grid is a human-free zone exclusively for robotic movement. This stable, unobstructed surface enhances navigation, reduces operational risks, and optimizes system performance. With precise coordination between hardware and software, the result is a streamlined, high-efficiency fulfillment process designed for the demands of modern warehousing.

  • Our robots are lightweight and powered by advanced path-planning algorithms, ensuring precise and efficient operation. They navigate securely on elevated rails above the storage grid, operating collision-free and even in complete darkness.

Each robot accurately positions itself above the bin stack for fast and reliable retrieval and storage. The robots are designed to transport bins containing goods, utilizing a hollow internal compartment where the bin is securely held during transport.

Together with the grid, the robots create a seamless and fully automated system for moving goods within the warehouse, eliminating the need for human interaction. The modular design enables seamless scalability—robots can be added or removed without disrupting operations. The robots are equipped with autonomous charging capabilities, ensuring continuous, uninterrupted performance with minimal maintenance.

  • Serve as the single point of entry and exit for every item, streamlining inventory flow and eliminating unnecessary complexity. By centralizing item handovers, they enhance tracking, improve efficiency, and ensure seamless coordination between robotic storage and human operators.

Acting as the critical link in the fulfillment process, these stations are engineered for speed, accuracy, and ease of use. Their ergonomic design enables fast, comfortable loading and unloading, reducing strain on operators while maintaining high throughput.

Equipped with an integrated buffer system, our stations eliminate waiting times by ensuring that crates are always available when needed. This continuous picking process minimizes downtime, keeps operations running smoothly, and ensures that your supply chain performs at peak efficiency—without interruptions.

  • Engineered for peak performance, our software optimizes robotic pathways with precision, eliminating collisions and delays to ensure seamless operations. It integrates with your existing WMS, ERP, or e-commerce platforms, synchronizing fulfillment process for maximum efficiency.

Our configurable platform allows you to fine-tune performance based on KPIs unique to you, whether adjusting workflows, restructuring order processing, or scaling operations, the system evolves with your business needs.

Harnessing the power of digital twin technology and AI-driven analytics, the platform continuously gathers, interprets, and visualizes real-time data. This enables proactive decision-making, optimizes resource allocation, and enhances throughput.

Our robots—designed as the only moving components in the system—manage the physical tasks of lifting, transporting, and depositing inventory bins. Each bin is tailored to house multiple SKUs and specialized items, ensuring flexibility for various product categories. When a bin reaches a drop station, a human operator can conveniently pick the required items, then send the bin right back onto the grid for seamless replenishment or to prepare for the next order.

What makes this process stand out is how the robots methodically shuffle bins, always keeping the items most likely to be requested in prime positions. This dynamic arrangement enables quicker picking, minimizes waiting times, and reduces both handling errors and the risk of damaging goods. Our software remains the brain of the operation. Deciding every single action, preventing collisions, dictating bin sequencing, and instructing the robots when it’s time to recharge—continuously monitoring performance and fine-tuning each step to maintain high productivity.

Beyond day-to-day efficiency, Mercury offers the freedom to adapt as your business evolves. Whether you need a five-minute lead time or prefer a ten-minute window, you can easily see how different configurations impact throughput. Leveraging advanced digital twin modeling, Mercury enables scenario testing before implementation, eliminating guesswork and driving data-informed decision-making.

With Mercury, upgrade your warehouse into a sick production machine.
